Opportunity Programs
Arthur O. Eve Higher Educational Opportunity Program (HEOP) - provides a broad range of services to New York State residents who, because of academic and economic circumstances, would otherwise be unable to attend a private post secondary educational institution. as HEOP with the difference being the amount of years students will be funded.

Academic calendar and faculty
SU is on a semester-based academic calendar, which means that there’re two main terms (Fall and Spring), a few optional summer terms plus a Winterlude session where students can take classes during winter break via computer. Classes are medium sized to large sized, having a student to faculty ratio of 16:1.
