Colby is a small private college in Waterville, Maine. Founded in 1813 as an all-male university, the college has been at the forefront of creating a welcoming space for all peoples since it 1871, when it became the first college in New England to admit female students.
Colby's small and intimate setting allows for students to fully take advantage of the resources offered by faculty. The student to faculty ratio is 10:1, this makes the college one of the best in the country in terms of providing maximum attention to its students. The college offers research opportunities in all  50 of its academic disciplines. Students can travel with faculty and conduct research on various topics-- ranging from oceanography to anthropology.

Colby offers over 100 student organizations/clubs to its students, including the renown Napping club, the Gentlemen of Quality club and a myriad of sport activities

Students are given the opportunity to create their own clubs to suit their diverse interests and passions.

Financial Aid
 The college offers need-based admissions and makes sure that financial barriers do not deter qualified students from attending. Students can be assured that they'll not have loans included in their financial aid packages. The school offers merit-based scholarships to its high achieving scholars.
