- Make an action plan. Maybe have a goal to apply to one scholarship a day; maybe try to apply to 3 each week; maybe devote 2 hours on Sunday's to apply to different scholarships. Every minute you put in now will pay off in the long run.
- Apply to the little guys. We all love seeing the $1000-$5,000+ range of scholarships. However, there are so many more scholarships with smaller stipends (usually $50-$500ish). Don't overlook these. They typically are easier to apply to because (1) they demand less from you, (2) organizations often distribute more of these scholarships, so your chances of obtaining one may be higher, and (3) generally take much less time to do. Climb the mountain in small strides, my friends.
