Middlebury College in Vermont
Middlebury is a prestigious top ranked liberal arts college set against the back drop of beautiful Vermont. For more than 200 years the college has prided itself on its commitment to the strong and diverse educational opportunities that it provides it's students. It is a college school, housing 2,450 undergraduate students. Although it is a small college, the school offers something for everyone. There are over 150 academic and sports clubs with over 20 NCAA Division III team. For those students interested in a more magical experience Middlebury is renowned for their Muggle Quidditch team.
On the more serious academic side, Middlebury is perhaps the best college on the East Coast for their language programs. They offer classes and majors in over 10 languages taught by experienced full time professors. In addition Middlebury college offers 15 different study abroad programs in different countries all over the world. For students who want to stay at home the school also offer summer language immersion programs that are quite rigorous (I attended one myself).
Middlebury also focuses on the development of its students outside the classroom. Which is why during the one month January term, student are encouraged to take either one class and focus on extra-curriculars OR take the entire term to do a hands on internship.
