Stonehill College
Situated in Easton, Massachusetts, Stonehill College is a small, liberal arts school home to about 2600 undergraduates. Founded by the Congregation of Holy Cross, Stonehill fosters a community that operates in a union of academics and faith. With a strong catholic identity written in this school's history and curriculum, Stonehill is open to individuals of every religion/nonreligious persons in hopes to best guide students to self-discovery. There's an abundance of majors, minors, and other degree programs to take advantage of while at Stonehill (80+) and, furthermore, there is a selection of pre professional programs students may pursue: pre-health, pre-law, pre-theology, and teacher licensing. Additionally, Stonehill is special in that it partners with many other colleges and universities; these affiliations broaden subject availability and heighten engagement across institutions!
Stonehill students enroll in internships at the local, domestic, and international level. Looking to get to know your professors well? Students are able to research 1:1 with professors and, when in the classroom, there's usually a max of only 19 students! The campus sits in a peaceful New England setting but is just a mere bus ride away to Boston, Providence, and New York! But never fear, there are plenty of museums and beaches not too far from the campus; plus, there's a huge collection of student organizations, from performance groups to cultural and special interest clubs, and more!
Stonehill is ranked 4th in the nation of NCAA Division II schools in Collegiate Power Ranking (a ranking put out by the National College Scouting Association that assesses schools' academic and athletic excellence)! Additionally, Stonehill hosts a wide array of intercollegiate club sports teams (from ultimate Frisbee, Rugby, to Lacrosse) and intramural programs (from basketball, floor hockey, to flag football). Stonehill athletes and fans alike are the dedicated Skyhawks, whose colors are proud purple and white.
For the past few years, Stonehill has been operating its very own farm and providing produce to neighboring cities :))
