Franklin & Marshall College
A small, coeducational liberal arts school located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Franklin & Marshall College is home to approx. 2, 350 undergrad students each year. With 54 fields of study and an intimate 9:1 student-faculty ratio, F&M students are given incredible opportunity to excel intellectually and personally!
By the time they graduate, a majority of students conduct an independent study and even may design their own majors! Many students even coauthor research publications with faculty members. 27 athletic teams. 18 club sports. 115+ clubs/organizations. Lots going on. :) Roughly 43% of students are part of a greek community.
F&M students get to enjoy downtown Lancaster (with its central market, artistic energy, very own baseball team, opera houses, and more)! Furthermore, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and New York City are all just a train-ride away! On a global scale, most F&M students enjoy and engage in study abroad programs and service-trips around the world. At the end of the day, though, Franklin and Marshall--with it's close-knit community--is its students' favorite place to call 'home.'
Fun fact: Benjamin Franklin established the school with a donation of only 200 British pounds!
